Senior Backup Infrastructure Engineer

In this role, you are the technical authority for backup and data protection services within the Virtual Infrastructure Services team. You will manage Cohesity, storage, and archiving platforms in a 24/7 production environment, and drive automation to reduce manual work. You collaborate with product owners and architects to design scalable solutions that meet security and compliance standards. The position offers exposure to DR planning and cross-functional delivery in a fast-moving, international setting.

• Operate as domain owner for backup and data protection services
• Install, configure, and maintain backup technologies and storage components
• Develop solutions from business and technical requirements and design projects
• Monitor performance, conduct audits, and perform capacity planning
• Collaborate with IT peers and maintain documentation
• Implement security best practices, patch management, and vulnerability assessments
• Automate recurrent activities and harmonize automation developments
• Participate in day-to-day service support and on-call rotations
• Contribute to disaster recovery management (RDR, SWAP, LDR) and OS consulting
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with Product Owner and Solution Architects

• Minimum 7 years in service engineering or operations
• At least 2 years of experience with Cohesity in large IT environments
• Strong backup/restore testing mindset aligned with DORA
• Hands-on knowledge of backup/restore processes with audit/compliance
• Good storage knowledge (S3, file solutions) in large IT settings
• Experience with Nutanix and/or VMware virtualization
• Knowledge of hyperconverged/converged infrastructures
• Passion for automation and DevOps; experience with Ansible, Tower, PowerShell or Terraform
• English fluency; Agile experience; willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
