- High Wycombe or Farnborough based
- Hybrid working – 2-3 days on client site per week, along with occasional visits to an office

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a major organisation operating within the UK Defence sector, delivering complex digital and technology programmes across multiple business and technical domains. This is an opportunity to work at a senior level, influencing requirements, dependencies and delivery across a significant transformation environment. Due to ongoing programme activity, they are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the team.
THE TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST ROLE:
As a Technical Business Analyst, you’ll lead the investigation, analysis and definition of platform requirements across multiple programmes and business areas. You’ll identify cross-programme dependencies, assess impacts and risks, and ensure requirements are aligned with strategic objectives and programme outcomes.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, platform teams and programme colleagues, acting as a key liaison to support collaboration, decision-making and delivery planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead workshops with users, SMEs, and suppliers to capture operational needs, use cases, and business processes.
- Develop and maintain operational use cases, user journeys, workflows, acceptance criteria, and operational outcomes
- Engage senior stakeholders to align requirements with programme objectives
- Produce high-quality requirements, process models and impact assessments
- Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and support requirements governance and change control
- Define requirements for containerised/Kubernetes platforms, data fabrics, integrations, APIs, and data exchange services
TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst / Business Analyst
- Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
- Experience producing process models, requirements and impact assessments
- Experience of MOD development practices, governance, process and policies (e.g. JSPs, secure by design, etc.)
- Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working across complex business and technical environments
- Ability to operate confidently across multiple programmes or workstreams
- Experience supporting programme governance and strategic decision-making
