Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst at Version 1, you frame ambiguous problems and synthesize insights to shape strategic options for clients. You collaborate with Product, Delivery, Engineering and Design to define why/what and enable how, de‑risking end‑to‑end delivery. You also help build the BA capability within the practice, growing skills and impact alongside the team. This role pairs client advisory with practical delivery, working on complex digital transformation initiatives to deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities
  • Frame and clarify problem spaces to identify key levers
  • Develop option analyses and evidence-based recommendations aligned to strategy
  • Partner with Product, Delivery, Engineering and Design to shape solutions and enable delivery
  • Build client trust and act as a trusted adviser through concise, outcome-led interactions
  • Ensure end-to-end delivery focus, managing scope, risks and assumptions
  • Measure expected benefits and support handover to BAU to embed change
Key requirements
  • Consulting-calibre BA with structured, hypothesis-driven thinking
  • Experience in ambiguous environments and ability to create clarity and decisions
  • Public sector/government experience (GOV.UK Service Standard)
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with ability to connect problems to measurable outcomes
  • Translational capability to convert analysis into actionable insights for decision making
  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, credible advisor to senior clients
  • Delivery pragmatism with experience in Agile contexts and diverse delivery environments
  • Digital transformation experience across transformation lifecycle
  • Stakeholder trust-building and advisory credibility
