Senior Business Analyst

In this role you will lead the delivery of business and technology change initiatives, spanning business analysis, data, and integration. You’ll work with architects, developers and stakeholders to design and deliver complex solutions that align with CNA Hardy’s objectives. You’ll guide multi‑team analysis on large programmes, ensuring delivery excellence and business value. You’ll mentor junior analysts and contribute to standards and continuous improvement within the Transformation & Projects team.

• Define and tailor the business analysis approach per project goals
• Translate business problems into structured artefacts for business and tech audiences
• Challenge solutions to align with strategy, risk appetite and operating model
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and break down complex concepts
• Maintain traceability from objectives to outcomes across lifecycle
• Produce business cases, impact assessments and cost‑benefit analyses
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation
• Specify functional/non‑functional requirements for integrations and APIs
• Collaborate with architects, developers and vendors on API contracts and interfaces
• Review and validate technical designs against requirements
• Analyse cross‑application integration requirements
• Support design with business/process/data insights
• Identify dependencies, risks and impacts across systems and workstreams
• Perform data profiling, mapping and migration activities
• Utilise SQL to investigate data issues and support delivery
• Lead analysis across multiple concurrent projects and workstreams
• Coordinate user involvement and support testing and transition to production
• Assist in training materials and business readiness
• Mentor junior analysts and drive analysis capability improvements
• Provide regular progress updates to management
• Maintain consistency of analysis standards across projects

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior or Technical Business Analyst role
• Professional Business Analysis qualification (BCS, IIBA or equivalent)
• Proven experience delivering technology-enabled change in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environments
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities
• Extensive experience across the full software development lifecycle
• Experience defining business, functional and non‑functional requirements
• Experience on large-scale transformation programmes with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Experience managing analysis across multiple projects with competing priorities
