Senior Commodity Business Analyst | Position Reporting | Inside IR35| London

I’m currently recruiting for a Commodity Business Analyst to join a leading global commodities trading business on a major transformation programme.

The business is building a new global position reporting platform as part of a wider strategic data programme, and they’re looking for someone who can bridge the gap between the front office and technology.

The role:

• Work closely with traders and front-office stakeholders to understand requirements


• Analyse and improve existing position reporting and exposure processes


• Help shape and deliver a new global position reporting capability


• Work across commodities including Gas, Power, LNG and/or Oil


• Collaborate with technology, data and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle

The ideal background:

• Strong Business Analysis experience within commodities/Energy


• Proven experience with position reporting / exposure


• Experience working directly with traders or other front-office users


• Exposure to one or more ETRM/CTRM platforms


• Broader commodity exposure across Gas, Power, LNG and/or Oil is advantageous


• Strong understanding of how position reporting works within a commodity trading environment
