Senior Business Analyst, Regulatory Technology

Overview

In this role you will work within PIMCO’s Regulatory Transaction Reporting Technology team to transform regulatory obligations into effective tech solutions. You will partner with Regulatory Operations and vendors to define requirements, support testing, and drive enhancements across MiFID II, EMIR, ASIC, MAS, SFTR, and other regimes. You will contribute to modernizing the global reporting platform and explore AI-enabled capabilities to improve quality and efficiency. This is a broad, end-to-end role with exposure to regulatory workflows, technology modernization, and cross-functional collaboration that shapes how we meet reporting obligations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead workstreams to modernize the global regulatory transaction reporting platform
  • Translate regulatory obligations and reporting needs into requirements, specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate requirements discussions and document data, rules, and flows
  • Collaborate with engineering across the SDLC to implement enhancements
  • Create test scenarios and validation approaches; coordinate testing with stakeholders
  • Lead production issue triage and root-cause analysis; coordinate with vendors and operations
  • Define and improve support models, SLAs, and accountability frameworks
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and reporting quality improvements
  • Participate in modernization initiatives and evaluate AI-enabled capabilities
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years as Business/Systems/Functional Analyst in financial services technology
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating requirements
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder discussions and supporting full software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in creating process flows, business rules, data mapping, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with MiFID II, EMIR, ASIC, MAS, SFTR or other G20 regulatory regimes
  • Experience in regulated financial services environments
