Overview

In this role you will design and build the trading software backbone for a fast-growing prop trading firm. You’ll work closely with research teams to implement automated electronic trading algorithms and enhance trading infrastructure at scale. The position sits in a high-tech, performance-driven environment with a strong collaboration culture and openness to learning from peers. You will contribute to expanding the research platform and supporting new exchanges and products, delivering robust, low-latency software with autonomy.

Responsibilities
  • Design, engineer and implement trading software in C++ and Java
  • Collaborate with research teams to architect and analyze new trading algorithms
  • Build and enhance the firm’s software infrastructure for multiple business lines
  • Extend proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality
  • Contribute to performance tuning, profiling and optimization of software
Key requirements
  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Proven experience on Linux/gcc
  • Experience with profiling/optimising algorithms
  • Network programming, multithreaded programming, IPC
  • Distributed architecture systems experience
  • Autonomous working style
  • Strong fundamentals of software engineering
  • Able to operate across layers of abstraction
  • Background in mathematics, science or computing related area (preferred)
  • Experience in financial services is a plus (not essential)
