In this role you will contribute to Nomura’s Latency Sensitive Electronic Trading team by delivering high-performance C/C++ components for low-latency trading services. You will work closely with a global development group to cover multiple stages of the software lifecycle in a fast-paced environment. The focus is on robust, efficient infrastructure for order entry gateways and market data handling. You will operate in a hybrid London setup, collaborating with cross-functional teams to adapt to changing priorities. This opportunity is meaningful for shaping scalable trading infrastructure within a leading financial institution.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain C/C++ components for low-latency trading services
- Collaborate with the wider development team across all stages of the software lifecycle
- Contribute to order entry gateway development and market data infrastructure
- Operate in an agile environment and adapt to changing business priorities
- Work on high-performance, scalable trading systems
- Proven C/C++ development experience
- Experience with financial markets
- Experience of order entry gateway development
- Knowledge of Linux
- Understanding of network protocols is beneficial
- Experience with Kernel development is beneficial
- Some scripting knowledge
- Understanding of FPGAs is useful
