Senior C Networking Software Engineer

Build optimized networking software in C at Ribbon, focusing on embedded programming and data plane acceleration across global engineering locations.

This hands-on development role supports Ribbon’s next-generation security and networking products. You will research technical information, design software, and contribute across public and private clouds, dedicated servers, and custom hardware platforms. The position requires networking or communications experience and close collaboration with distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research technical information for next-generation networking products
• Design and create optimized networking software
• Write data plane acceleration software for network processors
• Debug customer issues in Ribbon’s installed products
• Verify functionality and measure networking performance with test teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field
• Five or more years in networking or communications
• Strong C foundation with embedded programming experience
• Experience with Intel DPDK, VPP, or related technologies
• Linux networking and kernel internals exposure
