Senior C++ Software Engineer

In this role you will help build a scalable, high-performance platform to support WorldQuant’s large-scale quantitative research and portfolio production. You will work with researchers and portfolio managers to enable the firm’s next decade of growth through robust software and tooling. • Own and develop components of a large-scale, scalable platform for quantitative research and portfolio production
• Build production-quality software primarily in C++ on Linux; collaborate with researchers and PMs
• Contribute to distributed systems design and high-performance application architecture
• Work independently to tackle technical challenges with minimal direction
• Support ongoing multi-year efforts to evolve the firm’s platform to enable growth

• Minimum 5 years of production-quality C++ development on Linux
• Strong Python development experience
• Solid Linux system programming fundamentals
• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency patterns, and high-performance design
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Proficiency in English
