Senior C++ Systems Software Developer

Build C and C++ systems software at QNX, developing tools for advanced embedded systems and real-time operating system environments. Work close to the operating system.

As a Senior Systems Software Developer, you will develop compilers, libraries, utilities, and command-line tools. You will support mission-critical software across automotive, robotics, industrial automation, and other embedded applications. The work combines in-house tools with GNU or LLVM toolchains, requiring strong analytical skills, collaboration, and technical communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and enhance compilers, utilities, libraries, and developer tooling
• Build reliable, secure, high-performance embedded software solutions
• Investigate technical problems across system and developer tools
• Define requirements, architecture, and long-term technical strategy
• Participate in design and code reviews

Requirements:

• Strong software development experience in C and/or C++
• Understanding of embedded development concepts and RTOS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent collaboration and technical communication skills
