Senior Capital Analyst

As a Capital Analyst in our Capital Modelling team, you will help the business understand and optimise its capital position across Health and General Insurance. You will work with actuarial, risk and finance colleagues to enhance the Internal Model and support strategic decision-making. The role covers capital management, solvency assessment, risk modelling and regulatory considerations in a large, complex insurer. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your actuarial career and contribute to key capital decisions in a collaborative environment.

• Support production and analysis of capital assessments and solvency requirements across the business
• Calibrate, develop, maintain and validate the Internal Model to ensure it remains fit for purpose and regulatorily aligned
• Contribute to insurance risk assumptions and support ORSA and related capital processes
• Analyze reinsurance arrangements and support risk management activities
• Deliver actuarial analysis to inform strategic business decisions
• Engage with stakeholders across actuarial, risk and finance functions and senior decision-makers

• Progression through the IFoA actuarial exams
• Experience in General Insurance and/or Health Insurance environments
• Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical capabilities
• Understanding of insurance risk and capital modelling principles
• Experience delivering actuarial analysis and communicating findings to stakeholders
• Strong Excel and modelling skills; ReMetrica experience is advantageous but not essential
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively across actuarial, risk and finance teams
• Exposure to Internal Models, Solvency II, ORSA is beneficial
