Senior Cloud Developer

Overview

In this role you will help build Framestore’s cloud-first and machine learning strategies by writing core software and automation. You’ll develop high-availability workflows and scalable data pipelines, while providing cloud and systems support to developers. You will drive DevOps practices to ensure secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud services. This is a hands-on chance to shape infrastructure that underpins AI agents, data-heavy models, and cross-functional collaboration across the business.

Responsibilities

• Build highly available automation workflows and orchestrators for distributed builds, cross-platform compute scaling, and deployment of AI agents and data-heavy models
• Design and implement event-driven automation and self-healing cloud systems to detect, diagnose, and remediate infrastructure issues
• Architect robust cloud security frameworks, identity management, and automated governance baselines across the global footprint
• Design and optimise big data infrastructure for large metadata datasets and media assets while identifying cost-saving opportunities without impacting performance

• Experience designing high-availability, multi-environment cloud infrastructure using IaC (ideally Terraform)
• Proven track record in designing and managing cloud-based data systems (Snowflake or BigQuery)
• Strong software background (ideally Python) with experience architecting scalable services and APIs
• Ability to build, scale, and secure distributed automation pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) with focus on performance, caching, and testing
• Experience supporting engineering teams, championing DevSecOps, and collaborating with tech leadership
• Strong communication skills bridging infrastructure and development workflows
