Senior Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Engineer (Enterprise Storage), you will provide technical leadership for storage and backup services across UCL’s core infrastructure. You’ll design, implement and continually improve data protection platforms to ensure resilience, reliability and performance. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to modernise storage capabilities and deliver scalable, mission‑critical services. Your expertise will help safeguard data and support cloud and on‑premises environments while guiding colleagues through technical changes. This role offers a meaningful chance to shape UCL’s storage strategy and contribute to a broader IT modernization effort.

• Provide technical expertise across enterprise storage and backup services
• Design and implement storage and data protection platforms

• Troubleshoot and drive problems to resolution across private and public cloud environments

• Experience administering Windows or Linux systems in a service-oriented infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage and backup technologies
• Experience safeguarding data protection platforms across private and public cloud
• Experience disaster recovery capabilities
• Ability to manage problems through resolution with attention to detail
