Senior Cloud Engineer

In this role you will lead the design, deployment, and operation of secure, scalable cloud platforms across Viridien and client environments. You will translate cloud architectures into production-ready solutions within the Data Hub, enabling data transformation and analytics at scale. You’ll collaborate with software, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure deployments and governance compliance. • Implement cloud architectures in Viridien and client environments
• Automate cloud foundations (networking, identity, governance, security)
• Deliver and operate Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS)
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Create reusable cloud modules and deployment patterns
• Enforce IAM/RBAC, network segmentation, encryption, and secrets management
• Ensure security, compliance and governance of cloud platforms
• Monitor, back up, and provide disaster recovery solutions
• Troubleshoot cloud, Kubernetes, and database issues
• Develop runbooks and knowledge transfer materials
• Collaborate with software, client, and operations teams to deliver cloud solutions
• Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives

• Production cloud delivery experience, especially on Microsoft Azure
• Strong Kubernetes platform experience
• Experience deploying and supporting database platforms (PaaS and VM-based)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of cloud security (IAM, networking, encryption, secrets)
• Troubleshooting distributed systems and cloud platform issues
• Ability to work independently and own technical delivery
