Senior Cloud Engineer

In this role you design, implement and maintain a scalable AWS-based cloud infrastructure to support microservices, focusing on EKS, Kubernetes, and IaC. You collaborate to ensure reliable deployments, observability, and cost optimization while handling day-2 operations and security. You’ll influence cloud architecture at Entrust within a globally distributed environment and cutting-edge tech stack. • design, implement and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS for microservices
• manage and operate EKS clusters and Kubernetes environments
• build and maintain IaC using Terraform or OpenTofu
• configure and maintain monitoring and observability with SPLUNK and Datadog
• manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and automation scripts
• develop and maintain automation using Bash and Python for operations
• perform day-2 operations (upgrades, backup/restore, cost optimization) and disaster recovery considerations
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud services

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure or related field
• at least 3+ years of AWS cloud experience
• deep knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS EKS
• strong understanding of EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch
• experience with SPLUNK and Datadog
• IaC experience with Terraform or OpenTofu
• hands-on experience managing EKS environments
• experience with Istio and service mesh integration
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins or similar) and scripting (Bash, Python)
• excellent communication and collaboration skills
• experience with day-2 operations and cost optimization
• AWS certifications are a plus
