Senior Cloud Engineer, Cloud COE

As Senior Cloud Engineer, you will build, automate, and operate Azure cloud platforms within the Cloud COE. You’ll implement Terraform-led infrastructure and work across AKS, AVS, and Azure Arc to deliver enterprise cloud initiatives. You’ll partner with architecture and security teams to enforce governance and run reliable, scalable cloud environments. This role offers hands-on engineering with a focus on automation, hybrid cloud, and continuous improvement to support core business objectives.

• Build and manage Azure infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking, backup)
• Deploy enterprise landing zones and shared services
• Develop Terraform modules and maintain IaC with CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure policy-compliance, drift detection, and release governance
• Deploy and operate AKS clusters and support containerized workloads
• Support AVS environments and hybrid VMware-cloud operations
• Implement Azure Arc-enabled governance and monitoring across estates
• Configure and troubleshoot hybrid connectivity (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN)
• Implement secure-by-design configurations and RBAC/identity controls
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain BAU cloud operations and performance
• Collaborate with Cloud COE, Platform Engineering, Security and Architecture teams
• Contribute to reusable templates, standards, and best practices
• Drive automation-first mindset and continuous improvement

• 5+ years hands-on Azure cloud engineering
• Strong Terraform IaC experience (modules, pipelines, governance)
• Deep knowledge of core Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity)
• Hands-on AKS experience
• Experience with AVS and Azure Arc (preferred)
• Experience with Azure networking (VNet, DNS, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute/VPN)
• Microsoft Entra ID / RBAC experience
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• CI/CD pipelines experience (GitHub / Azure DevOps)
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments and BAU incident management
• Understanding of cloud security and governance best practices
