Overview
In this role you will advance RBC's cloud security posture by designing and delivering secure cloud solutions across multiple platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement automated, code-driven security controls and enhance reliability through SRE practices. The role combines security engineering with developer experience improvements to foster best practices. You will lead end-to-end initiatives that shape our cloud security strategy and reporting. This is a hands-on, impactful position in a high-performing technology team.

- Establish core services and security controls across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes environments
- Design and build cloud security solutions using automation, config as code, and TDD
- Implement SRE practices to improve operational processes and reliability
- Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to align on technical strategies
- Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and strengthen cloud security strategy
- Lead and participate in delivering end-to-end integrated solutions
- Familiarity with modern software development, DevOps, and SRE practices
- Experience in Python
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Experience working with container tools and platforms
- Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like ARM, CloudFormation, and Terraform
- Must be available for on call support
