Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Protect gaiia’s cloud infrastructure as a Senior Security Engineer, using AWS expertise and strong security judgment in a 100% remote environment.

This hands-on senior role combines security generalist responsibilities with full-stack engineering. You will protect products, infrastructure, customers, and teams across serverless microservices, TypeScript, and infrastructure-as-code. The work spans application security, cloud security, incident response, compliance, and enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review AWS, Snowflake, GitHub, and critical vendor configurations
• Improve IAM, least privilege, and production access controls
• Review logging, detection, monitoring, and deployment pipelines
• Harden data stores, networks, backups, and encryption controls
• Report material risks and security progress to leadership

Requirements:

• At least five years in a related technical role
• Strong experience securing cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
• Strong AWS experience and modern web application security knowledge
• Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and infrastructure-as-code
• Understanding of IAM, secrets management, logging, and secure SDLC practices
