Senior Cloud Software Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong design and coding skills, with a record of delivering high‑quality technical outcomes
• Experience developing microservice or service‑oriented architectures
• Good understanding of REST API design principles
• Experience with C#/.NET or multiple programming languages, plus an understanding of database design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
• Experience with cloud development, especially Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud‑native application platforms
• Experience with Angular or an equivalent web development framework
• Experience using AI‑assisted coding tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
• Strong communication, adaptability, curiosity, ownership, and motivation to solve technical challenges in a fast‑moving environment

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, resilient features for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services
• Contribute to technical design and implementation decisions across cloud and service‑based architectures
• Build and improve services using modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Use AI‑assisted development tools to support engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery
• Work collaboratively in an agile development team and share knowledge on cloud technologies and practices
