Overview
As Senior Computer Vision Engineer you will design, develop and deploy production-grade CV systems using CNNs and Vision Transformers, translating cutting-edge research into reliable software for defence and security contexts. You will work across research, software and customer deployments, shaping solutions that run at scale on cloud and edge platforms. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role with strong collaboration across engineers, researchers and customers.

- Design, develop and optimise computer vision models (CNNs, Vision Transformers)
- Develop customised networks, training strategies, loss functions and evaluation metrics
- Translate research into maintainable, production-quality software
- Build scalable training, validation, evaluation and inference pipelines
- Optimize models for accuracy, robustness, latency and deployment across cloud/edge
- Support deployment of CV systems into customer environments
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Researchers, Technical Leaders and customers
- Contribute to architecture decisions, testing and CI/CD practices
- Strong commercial experience in deep learning for computer vision
- Excellent Python development skills
- Commercial experience using PyTorch (TensorFlow experience considered)
- Strong knowledge of CNNs and modern CV techniques
- Experience designing/modifying/adapting neural network architectures
- Experience with model training, validation, hyperparameter tuning and performance evaluation
- Experience translating AI/vision research into production
- Strong software engineering practices: Git, testing, code reviews, CI/CD
