Senior Controller Financial Reporting

Lead financial reporting and accounting operations as Controller at BC Building Science Ltd. in Vancouver, supporting accurate business decisions.

Reporting to the VP Finance and Corporate Services, this senior finance role oversees accounting operations and financial integrity. You will manage Canadian accounting standards, month-end and year-end reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis. The position also supports budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and timely financial information
• Lead monthly and annual financial close processes
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and performance indicators
• Analyze profitability, expenses, working capital, and cash flow
• Coordinate external accountants and auditors

Requirements:

• CPA designation and recognized Canadian provincial CPA membership
• Seven-plus years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting systems proficiency
• Experience leading and developing accounting professionals
