As a Senior CPS Engineer, you will own the Civica Polling Station (CPS) application, shaping it for public cloud products and ongoing election software maintenance. You will work with a cross-functional team to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality code while mentoring junior engineers. This role blends innovation with reliability, helping Civica strengthen its GovTech mission and serve citizens efficiently. Responsibilities
  • Analyze requirements and provide impact analysis on technical design and tasks
  • Architect and implement solutions to meet requirements
  • Design and code new functionality
  • Communicate technical details affecting requirements fulfillment
  • Iterative software development with feedback responsiveness
  • Provide 3rd line application support per SLAs including bug fixes
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code in IT projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve support issues as directed
  • Conduct code reviews and perform unit testing
  • Document code and ensure proper version control
  • Follow ISO 9001 Quality Management processes
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Travel to London on request (monthly minimum)
  • Ensure software quality and accountability
  • Code reviews of peers
  • Adhere to corporate testing processes and standards
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in .Net Core using C#
  • ASP.Net MVC using C#.Net
  • JavaScript / jQuery / TypeScript / AJAX
  • HTML, CSS
  • SQL Server
  • Client-side JS Framework (React)
  • Web API / WCF / Web Services
  • Unit Testing Framework (XUnit/ NUnit/ MSTest)
  • On-site presence in London office monthly
  • Proactive, autonomous work style
