As a Senior Engineer within the Customer Grid Access team at AESO, you will manage crucial interconnection engineering studies for integration into Alberta’s electrical system. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring effective project execution through the AESO Connection Process.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare Engineering Study Scope documents for assigned clusters • Conduct advanced power flow and system analysis studies • Develop alternative solutions for Market Participant connections • Prepare Single Line diagrams and Connection Proposals • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to address technical issues
Requirements: • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. eligible • 8-10 years of electric utility experience • Proficient in PSS/E software and Python • Strong understanding of transmission planning • Ability to mentor Engineers and Engineers-in-Training
