Senior Cyber Security Specialist

North York, ON Full-time CA$110,000 - CA$117,000 / year

Strengthen security operations and protect enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and end-user environments. This hybrid role is based in North York, Ontario, with two days onsite.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity environments using SIEM and threat-detection tools.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation priorities with technical teams.
• Administer and improve Microsoft security controls, including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
• Configure, review, and troubleshoot firewall and perimeter security platforms, including Check Point and Cisco technologies.
• Support incident response by analyzing suspicious activity, containing threats, documenting outcomes, and recommending preventive measures.
• Contribute to governance, risk, and compliance initiatives aligned with recognized frameworks and internal requirements.
• Assist with security awareness education and guidance to reduce user-related risk.
• Assess and improve security architecture, including Zero Trust, network segmentation, identity protection, and endpoint resilience.

Compensation: $110,000 - $117,000 per year.
