Senior Data Analyst

In this role you will draw actionable insights from large data sources, translating them into clear reports and dashboards. You will engage with client stakeholders to define needs, and explore advanced analytics to add value. You’ll shape methodological approaches, ensure data quality, and mentor peers. The position supports Hippo’s mission to deliver secure, scalable digital services through data-driven insight and cross-functional collaboration.

• Draw actionable insights from multiple data sources and present them via reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Engage with client stakeholders to translate business needs into analysis requirements
• Identify opportunities for advanced analytics such as predictive modelling or ML
• Apply robust statistical methods and communicate methodologies to diverse stakeholders
• Utilise BI tools for data analysis and visualisation
• Understand data platforms and pipelines at a conceptual level and flag data quality issues
• Contribute to recruitment and onboarding of other analysts and support their development
• Promote Hippo’s Herd through blogs, case studies, and workshops

• Proven track record as a data analyst with experience exploring and presenting data for users
• Expert data cleansing, analysis, modelling and visualisation (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio)
• Experience with large, complex data warehouses and/or data lakes
• Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform)
• Proficiency in SQL and languages such as R or Python
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to advise on complex client requirements
• Mentoring and coaching experience with a passion for upskilling junior analysts
