Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst at Hippo, you will lead analytical thinking on projects, ensuring high data quality and mentoring peers. You’ll draw actionable insights from diverse data sources and translate client needs into analytical requirements. You’ll explore advanced analytics and guide stakeholders through methodologies, contributing to scalable, data-driven platforms. This role blends data, design, and engineering to deliver impactful digital services and transformative solutions for public and private sector clients.

• Draw actionable insights from large data sources and communicate through reports and dashboards
• Engage with client stakeholders to translate business needs into analysis requirements
• Identify opportunities for advanced analytics (predictive modelling, ML) to add value
• Apply robust statistical techniques and clearly communicate methodology
• Utilise BI tools for data analysis and visualization
• Understand data platforms and pipelines to identify data quality issues
• Mentor and onboard other analysts and support consultants’ development
• Promote Hippo’s Herd through blogs, case studies, and workshops

• Proven track record as a data analyst with data exploration and presentation experience
• Expert data cleansing, analysis, modelling and visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio)
• Experience with large data warehouses and/or data lakes
• Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Google Cloud)
• Proficiency in SQL and R or Python (and relevant frameworks)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to advise on complex client requirements
• Mentoring and coaching skills with a passion for upskilling junior analysts
