Senior Data Analyst

This is an opportunity with a major UK infrastructure organisation that is investing heavily in its data and BI capability and is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the team.

This is a strong mix of hands-on analytics, BI leadership and platform transformation . You’ll work closely with the Analytics Lead, take responsibility for two junior analysts and help shape how the organisation develops its reporting and analytics capability.

A major part of the role will be helping move the business from its existing Tableau environment towards Power BI and Microsoft Fabric , including developing reusable data models, semantic layers and better self-service reporting.

The role would suit someone with:

• Strong SQL and analytical experience
• Power BI and enterprise BI/reporting experience
• Good data modelling / semantic modelling knowledge
• Experience delivering insight to senior business stakeholders
• Exposure to BI migrations or analytics transformation
• Some experience mentoring or managing analysts

Microsoft Fabric experience would be highly desirable, but isn’t essential - strong candidates from other modern BI environments will absolutely be considered.

There’s a genuine opportunity here to influence the future BI setup rather than simply inherit an established reporting function.
