Senior Data Analyst

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst / Data Manager to join their team and take ownership of their data management activities.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys bringing structure, consistency and governance to data. You will be responsible for managing and improving the organisation's data, with a particular focus on item/master data , while developing robust processes and data flows to ensure information is accurate, consistent, accessible and fit for purpose.

You'll work closely with teams across the business to understand their data requirements, identify opportunities for improvement and establish clear standards and processes around how data is created, maintained, managed and used.

Description of the role:

• Take ownership of the organisation's data, particularly item/master data .
• Develop and implement effective data management processes, workflows and controls .
• Maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and resolve data issues and improve data quality across the business.
• Work with key stakeholders to establish data requirements, ownership and standards.
• Analyse data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Improve and streamline data processes, including automation where appropriate.
• Maintain clear documentation of data processes, standards and workflows.
• Support wider data, systems and business improvement projects.

About you:

• Proven experience in a senior data or data management role.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance and processes .
• Experience designing and improving data workflows and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and ideally experience with SQL, BI tools or ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the business.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership and drive improvements.
