Senior Data Analyst dbt Dashboards

Build trusted datasets and configurable dashboards with dbt and advanced SQL as a Senior Data Analyst for DEPT® in Ontario, preferably Toronto. This three-month salaried contract supports dashboard delivery.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will transform raw data into modeled reporting layers and reusable dashboard templates. You will collaborate with product, client-facing teams, engineering, relationship managers, and senior stakeholders. The work turns client use cases into reliable dashboards through requirements gathering, validation, documentation, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather client dashboard use cases and document reporting requirements
• Build dbt staging, intermediate, and reporting data models
• Implement data quality tests, validation checks, and monitoring
• Design reusable dashboard templates with configurable client layers
• Track delivery risks, dependencies, priorities, and program status

Requirements:

• Five or more years in data or analytics roles
• Two or more years building enterprise BI dashboards
• Two or more years using dbt models, tests, macros, documentation
• Advanced SQL and performance tuning on large datasets
• Experience with dimensional modeling, Git, and cloud warehouses
