In this role you’ll join the SEM bidding team to shape data-led paid search strategies for Tripadvisor’s markets. You will optimize bidding systems, run experiments, and measure the true ROI of SEM spend. Collaborating with Marketing, Data Science, and Data Engineering, you’ll apply AI to speed up analysis and uncover insights. Responsibilities
  • Own and optimize SEM bidding strategies to maximize revenue
  • Enhance existing automated paid marketing systems
  • Plan and run measurement tests and experiments; apply findings to improve performance
  • Quantify true return on SEM spend using analytical methods
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Data Science, and Data Engineering to align on strategy
  • Monitor performance daily and report trends, wins, and plans to leadership
  • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, insights, and workflows
  • Stay updated on new ad technologies and automation opportunities
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Business / Maths / Statistics or related quantitative field
  • 2+ years in a data analytics role, preferably in digital marketing
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Proficiency in SQL and writing custom queries; understanding of database structures
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques for experimental design (regression, hypothesis testing, multivariate, time series)
  • Experience using AI tools in day-to-day workflow; eagerness to expand AI use in SEM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and maintain accuracy and deadlines
  • Genuine passion for learning and self-improvement
  • Prior exposure to Paid Search, Bidding, and Marketing KPIs is a plus
