Overview

In this role you’ll advance analytics to drive business insight within a consumer-focused financial services context. You’ll join a growing Data Team to modernise the data platform, own analytics initiatives, and support migration from Oracle to AWS. You’ll translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and contribute to a modern data warehouse and governance. This is a hands-on, technically-focused role with stakeholder collaboration and a clear path to shaping data strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build analytics solutions, data models and transformations using dbt Cloud
  • Develop the business reporting layer with testing, documentation and CI/CD
  • Create dashboards and self-service analytics using Metabase
  • Apply advanced SQL and data modelling techniques for robust solutions
  • Support Oracle/PL/SQL migration and AWS transition
  • Contribute to data pipelines, integrations and modern warehouse/lake development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Assist legacy data warehouse teams during migration and transformation
  • Manage priorities and delivery via JIRA/Agile
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and data quality
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support across analytics projects
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience as a Data Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or similar
  • Excellent SQL and data modelling skills
  • Hands-on experience with dbt Cloud (modelling, testing, documentation, CI/CD)
  • Experience with Metabase or similar BI/analytics platform
  • Strong Oracle/PL/SQL experience including packages and stored procedures
  • Experience with AWS and modern data warehouse/data lake architectures
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to own projects, manage competing priorities and drive delivery
