In this Senior Data Consultant role, you will help a legal client structure and interpret complex datasets through data modelling, governance, and spend analysis. You will collaborate with data scientists and engage with senior stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations. The position offers exposure to high-level decision-makers and the opportunity to influence how legal and business data is organized and used. This strategic assignment focuses on improving data quality, governance, and cross-functional alignment in a legal context.
Responsibilities- Develop and validate conceptual data models and business glossaries with legal and business teams
- Collaborate with data scientists on legal spend analysis: plan experiments, explore data, and share insights with stakeholders
- Provide governance and architecture support across the group legal function
- Recommend data tagging, classification, and governance best practices to improve data quality and usability
- Engage with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business objectives and ensure actionable outcomes
- Proven experience in professional services, strategy consulting, or a Big 4 environment
- Strong business analysis and data governance skills
- Comfortable working with legal data or within a legal context
- Excellent communication skills - able to influence senior stakeholders without heavy technical hand-holding
