Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Design, implement, and optimize data models and structures within data platforms.
• Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across all data processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Support the deployment, documentation, and continuous improvement of data engineering processes and workflows.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and solid knowledge of structured and semi-structured data formats.
• Good understanding of cloud-based data engineering concepts and modern data warehousing practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and deliver reliable data solutions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Talend for ETL/ELT development.
• Experience with Snowflake , including data loading, performance tuning, and leveraging platform-specific features.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD processes applied to data pipelines.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation tools.
• Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Experience with other Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks) is considered an asset.
