As a Senior Data Engineer on the Data Team, you will shape the data platform that powers billing, analytics, and product decisions across the company. You’ll build scalable data pipelines, set architectural patterns, and drive data modeling standards to enable trustworthy datasets. This role is cross-functional, collaborating with Finance, Network Integration, Product, and other teams to deliver impactful data products. Responsibilities
  • Build systems that transform usage and operational data into trustworthy datasets for billing and reporting
  • Develop and operate the data platform and pipelines powering business use cases
  • Ingest data from internal systems, third-party tools, and external partners into a unified platform
  • Own data modeling across the data warehouse and establish scalable standards
  • Work primarily with Python and SQL; leverage Dagster for orchestration
  • Manage cloud infrastructure behind the platform using Terraform
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate problems into reliable data products
  • Design for correctness and observability with tests and data quality checks
  • Take problems from scoping to production and operate what you build
Key requirements
  • Designed and operated production data platforms
  • Architected ingestion, storage, modeling, orchestration, and reliability decisions
  • Strong data modeling fundamentals
  • Business-value focus with pragmatic trade-offs between speed and quality
  • Comfort with ambiguity and delivering production solutions
  • Experience with AI tools in engineering workflows
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks
  • Experience with Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect; Dagster in use
  • Cloud infrastructure ownership; Terraform and IaC practices
  • Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams
  • Clear communication with cross-functional teams
