• Designing and delivering scalable data platforms and engineering solutions
• Leading the development of batch and real-time data pipelines
• Driving governance, architecture standards, and data engineering best practices
• Working with cloud-native technologies to build high-performing data solutions
• Supporting DevOps adoption, automation, and CI/CD processes
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders across projects
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team capability development
• Supporting technical decision-making and solution design activities

• Strong commercial experience in data engineering and modern data platforms
• Advanced programming skills in Java or Python
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, Flink or similar distributed data frameworks
• Experience delivering solutions on AWS or other major cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of data architecture, scalability and performance optimization
• Experience with containerisation, Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment
• Ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting or leading technical teams in complex delivery environments
