In this Senior Data Engineer role, you lead the delivery of data products for finance, guiding a growing data capability and mentoring engineers. You work across the full data lifecycle to enable reliable, scalable insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of scalable data products supporting finance reporting and analytics
  • Act as technical lead and mentor for engineers within the team
  • Drive engineering excellence through best practices, automation, testing and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology and Analytics to translate requirements into solutions
  • Support agile delivery, prioritise work, and ensure outcomes align with business objectives
  • Develop reliable, scalable, and sustainable data solutions for large datasets
  • Help shape future direction of the Finance data capability, including tooling and ways of working
  • Monitor and ensure operational performance and reliability of data platforms
Key requirements
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers in agile delivery environments
  • Strong experience delivering end-to-end data solutions (ingestion, transformation, reporting, analytics)
  • Excellent SQL and modern data warehousing knowledge, ideally Snowflake
  • Experience with Python, DBT, CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data integration and ETL processes
  • Experience with large, complex datasets in enterprise settings
  • Ability to influence technical decisions and promote engineering best practices
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
