Senior Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, you will build and maintain data flows and data platforms to enable data-driven decision making for national security and commercial clients. You’ll collaborate with data architects, scientists and analysts, applying software and DataOps practices to deliver high-quality data components. You will work across teams, adapt to evolving toolsets, and ensure data is secure, well-modeled and ready for downstream use. • Build, improve and maintain data flows (ETL)
• Apply software engineering and DataOps best practices
• Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Understand business problems and capture clear requirements

• Demonstrate core skills in SQL, Python, and data management
• Set up cloud services to host data infrastructure and store data

• Experience as a data engineer with data flows and data platforms
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or similar languages
