Overview

In this role you’ll lead data architecture and scalable pipelines to support Wise's global marketing engine. You’ll bridge platform engineering and analytics, ensuring reliable, high-volume data flows and a unified customer view. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to turn data into a platform for growth, mentoring engineers and shaping the MarTech stack. This is an opportunity to elevated data capabilities and directly influence customer acquisition at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Audit and elevate data pipelines and streaming architectures for reliability and scale
  • Productionize PoCs into scalable Airflow/dbt workflows for CDP datasets
  • Define data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation standards in collaboration with analytics
  • Own MarTech infrastructure and build end-to-end in-house solutions for tools like Braze and HighTouch
  • Lead technical scoping, discovery, and architectural design for broad problem spaces
  • Coach and mentor software engineers on data best practices and reviews
Key requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and Big Data pipelines (Kafka Streams, Event Streaming)
  • Hands-on dbt for data transformations and Airflow for orchestration
  • Strong data architecture background with production-grade quality and governance
  • Product and discovery mindset to scope and drive end-to-end solutions
  • Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management to translate marketing needs into engineering roadmaps
  • Strong communication across tech, marketing, and analytics
  • Mentoring and code-review/tutoring mindset
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, complex problem spaces
