Senior Data Engineer II - Scalable Growth

As a Senior Data Engineer at Wise, you will shape the data platform that powers global customer acquisition. You’ll act as the technical authority on data architecture, aligning platform and analytics engineering to deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines. Your work will enable a unified view of customers and robust MarTech infrastructure for marketing channels. You’ll mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data-driven growth. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, analytics, and marketing, offering a high-impact opportunity to influence Wise’s international reach.

• Audit, map out, and elevate current data pipelines and streaming architectures; establish monitoring, reliability and scale practices
• Productionize PoCs into scalable Airflow/dbt workflows to lay groundwork for CDP datasets
• Define data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation standards in partnership with analytics leads
• Own MarTech infrastructure in collaboration with Engineering Leads, delivering end-to-end solutions
• Take ownership of broad problem spaces from discovery through architecture design and roadmap execution
• Coach and mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on support

• Python & Big Data expertise with experience architecting streaming/batch pipelines
• dbt & Airflow proficiency for transformations and orchestration
• Strong data architecture background with data quality and production best practices
• Product & discovery mindset to scope and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Cross-functional stakeholder management and ability to translate marketing needs into engineering roadmaps
