Senior Data Engineer II - Scalable Growth

As a Senior Data Engineer in Wise’s Scalable Growth team, you’ll shape the data platform that powers global customer acquisition. You will serve as the technical authority on data architecture, bridging platform and analytics engineering to deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines for high-volume streaming and batch workloads. You will partner with marketing and analytics to turn data into a platform product, mentoring engineers and driving end-to-end data solutions. This role offers impact at scale, enabling Wise to attract millions of customers worldwide.

• Audit and elevate data pipelines and streaming architectures for reliability and scale
• Productionize PoCs into scalable Airflow/dbt workflows to support CDP datasets
• Define boundaries and standards for data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation with an analytics engineering mindset
• Own MarTech infrastructure in collaboration with Engineering Leads, building end-to-end solutions
• Own technical scoping and discovery, proposing robust architecture and driving roadmaps
• Coach and mentor engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance

• Python & Big Data expertise: architecting and maintaining large data pipelines
• dbt & Airflow proficiency for transformations and orchestration
• Data architecture mastery with data quality and production best practices
