Senior Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric Azure data

Overview

As Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the modernization of core data platforms on a Microsoft Fabric and OneLake-based architecture. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable data that underpins advanced analytics and executive decision making. You’ll drive medallion-architecture patterns and modern engineering practices, shaping the data layer from bronze to gold. This role offers impact across data pipelines, DWs, and BI consumption in a fast-growing tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance ingestion and integration pipelines from Dynamics CRM, Dynamics Finance & Operations, SAP SuccessFactors, and bespoke/third-party systems
• Develop and maintain the Azure Synapse-based ingestion and staging layer, including Synapse Link integrations and data pipelines
• Support the EDW on Azure SQL Server with transformations using stored procedures, views, and DBT
• Maintain clear bronze/silver/gold separation aligned to medallion architecture
• Collaborate with BI/Analytics teams to ensure Gold layer models support Power BI semantic models and dashboards

• Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise data environments
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure data platforms (Azure Synapse/ equivalent, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps)
• Practical delivery experience with medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with DBT
