Senior Data Scientist - Experimentation

In this Senior Data Scientist role, you will maximise business impact by leading experimentation and applying causal inference to real-world product decisions. You will operate within Deliveroo’s Analytics function, collaborating with product, commercial and ops teams to translate findings into strategic direction. You’ll design and interpret experiments, uncover drivers of performance, and help generalise results across users, markets and time. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment with a strong emphasis on impact and learning.

• Design, run and interpret A/B experiments in production environments
• Apply advanced causal inference techniques to estimate long-term and heterogeneous treatment effects
• Draw reliable conclusions in the presence of selection bias or imperfect randomisation
• Uncover fundamental drivers of experiment performance and generalise results across users, markets and timeframes
• Translate past experiment insights into improved future decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data science problems

• Experience designing, running and interpreting A/B experiments in production
• Solid understanding of causal inference concepts
• Ability to apply statistical thinking to real-world product problems
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
