Overview

In this Staff Engineer role, you will set the long-term direction for Fin’s web platform and its architectural evolution. You’ll lead across marketing and growth web surfaces, enabling a scalable, high-performance, and measurable web stack. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical strategy with business goals, while mentoring engineers and driving excellence in reliability and observability. This is a hands-on leadership role with impact on product discovery and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the web platform architecture
  • Define long-term technical strategy focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, analytics, and data science to align platform with goals
  • Design and implement MarTech systems for event tracking, attribution, and A/B testing infrastructure
  • Partner with engineers across web, infrastructure, and data to create a cohesive technical ecosystem
  • Mentor engineers on architecture, data modeling, and engineering best practices
  • Set standards for reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering managers, product managers, and executives
  • Contribute hands-on to the codebase to unblock key projects
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience in high-scale growth-focused web environment
  • Track record of technical leadership across multiple teams
  • Deep expertise in Next.js and the React ecosystem
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms like Contentful or Sanity
  • Experience with Terraform, AWS, CloudFront, S3, and deployment on Vercel
  • Experience with experimentation infrastructure (A/B testing, event instrumentation, attribution, Eppo)
  • Strong web analytics and data instrumentation experience (Google Tag Manager, event tracking SDKs)
  • Comfort with full-stack codebases and frontend architecture awareness
  • Experience with continuous delivery and incremental shipping
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
