Overview

As a Data Scientist in Intercom's RAD, you partner with product teams to answer strategic questions with data, design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, and build models and dashboards that inform product decisions. You influence the roadmap through experimentation and quantitative research, while crafting compelling data stories for stakeholders. You work cross-functionally to drive customer insights and tangible impact across millions of end users. This role combines analytics, experimentation, and storytelling to shape value for our product.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with product teams to identify questions and answer them with data
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop success metrics, targets, and measure outcomes
  • Design, build, and update end-to-end data pipelines and refine data sources
  • Work with product researchers to understand customers, products, and business
  • Influence product roadmap via experimentation and quantitative research
  • Build and automate actionable models and dashboards
  • Craft data stories and share findings across R&D and the company
  • Drive and shape RAD foundations and improve how the RAD org operates
Key requirements
  • 5+ years experience solving problems with data to drive evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent SQL skills with statistical analytical approaches
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable analysis with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical) and impact focus
  • Strong growth mindset and ownership; innate curiosity
  • Experience with a scientific computing language (R or Python)
