  • Install, configure, and administer IBM DB2 and MySQL database environments
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities
  • Perform database tuning, query optimization, and index management
  • Manage database backups, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of databases through replication, clustering, or failover mechanisms
  • Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance standards
  • Support application development teams with database design, schema changes, and performance improvements
  • Troubleshoot database issues, incidents, and outages in a timely manner
  • Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations
  • Maintain documentation for database architecture, configurations, and procedures
  • Strong background in MySQL
  • Strong background in DB2
