Senior Database Specialist – Quant team

In this role you will design, implement, and automate database platforms across Windows and Linux, supporting a high-profile hedge fund’s core technology stack. You’ll own and extend the existing database environment, workflows, and automation within a cross-functional Infrastructure Engineering team. You’ll partner with global DB admins to deliver self-service, automation-driven solutions that scale. • Design, implement, and integrate database platforms on Windows and Linux
• Own and build out the existing database environment, workflows, and automation
• Collaborate with a global team of database administrators
• Develop self-service and automation-driven solutions for enterprise infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance operating systems, authentication, virtualization, networks, and messaging services (Windows and Linux)

• Comp Sci Degree or similar
• Strong SQL Server
• Working Knowledge of Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and C# is preferred
• Working knowledge of networking protocols, information security concepts, and OS internals
