Senior DB Performance Engineer — Azure SQL, Latency & Scale

Capital on Tap is seeking a Database Performance Engineer to own performance and scale for our SQL Server estate on Azure. You will work in a small, agile team of DBAs and SREs, focusing on latency, cost and reliability, not ticket queues.

You’ll drive cross‑functional impact by optimizing queries, implementing scaling strategies, and building self‑serve tools. This hybrid role is based in London with a 2‑day‑per‑week office presence.
