Remote in Canada, administer enterprise DB2 for z/OS and IMS databases while applying performance tuning, recovery, and production support expertise.

DXC Technology seeks a database administrator with minimum 10 years of hands-on Db2 for z/OS and IMS DB/DC experience. You will support business-critical production and data-sharing environments, maintain database objects, and assist application teams. The work requires strong z/OS, SQL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and troubleshooting knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support DB2 for z/OS and IMS databases
  • Create, maintain, monitor, and tune database objects
  • Analyze performance, storage utilization, capacity, and availability
  • Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Resolve incidents and coordinate critical production responses

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on Db2 and IMS experience
  • Strong IBM DB2 for z/OS administration experience
  • Strong IBM IMS DB administration experience
  • Knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, SQL, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to participate in formal on-call rotation
