Overview
In this role you will develop dynamic weapon-system models and integrate them into customer simulation environments to support MOD assessments. You’ll work within a Defence Analytics Group, collaborating with UK and partner nations to answer questions and improve modelling tools. You will deliver models, reports, and ad hoc support, while contributing to process improvements and future analysis needs. The role offers international collaboration, travel for technical exchanges, and the chance to influence multi-national defence analytics in a fast-evolving domain.

- Produce computer models of weapons systems and exercise them in-house
- Aid integration of models into customers’ simulation environments
- Prepare reports and presentations for MOD customers and wider community
- Provide ad hoc support and advice to MOD customers, often at short notice
- Propose and implement tool/process improvements
- Maintain regular liaison with MOD and customer base to capture developments and requirements
- Collaborate with UK and multinational partners to share best practices
- Travel for technical exchanges with partners in the UK and abroad
- A degree in a STEM subject
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with modelling and simulation experience
- Knowledge of aerospace technologies (advantage)
- Experience with programming languages: MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, C# and/or Python
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams
